SEPANG - Lady luck was on the side of Ms. Jirapom Rungsrithong, an Investor Relations officer from Thailand, as she picked out from over 400 keys not just one, but two of the correct keys that
unlocked her way to a brand new Perodua Kelisa, at the '
Shop & Unlock the Kelisa' contest in KLIA. She took her flight back home after a business trip, thrilled to have won the Malaysian made car.
Two days later saw Mr. Munusamy a/l Narasingam, upon his return from Mauritius with his family, attempting the same feat to unlock the Kelisa. Confident that it was his lucky day, Mr Munusamy headed back to his home in Klang having won a Kelisa. "I feel very happy today. I was 100% sure that I would pick the correct keys." He added, "This contest is a great way to encourage passengers to shop at KLIA. Of course not all of them are as lucky as me!"
"I am thrilled to learn that we have two winners for the 'Shop & Unlock the Kelisa'. I feel that this new phase of KLIA Shopping campaign has gained tremendous response from the passengers and public. With attractive prizes up for grabs, I am sure this campaign will be a success," said Tuan Syed Ahmad Syed Salim, Head of KLIA Shopping Steering Committee.
'Shop & Unlock the Kelisa' contest is one of the contests in the KLIA Shopping Campaign to encourage passengers to shop at KLIA. The contest requires the passenger to spend a minimum of RM450 at any KLIA retail or food & beverage outlet within 24 hours. The 'Shop and Unlock the Kelisa', allows eligible shopper to go through two rounds. The shopper initially selects a car key from the first revolving container with 200 keys. If successful, the shopper can then go on to the second round to draw another key from another revolving container with 200 keys. If the shopper draws the right key, the car is won.
There are 4 brand new Perodua Kelisa to be won and Jirapom was the very first lucky contestant to win the contest, which began on 1st November 2003.
"This is an engaging charity drive for passengers traveling via KLIA. It gives them an opportunity to participate in lending a helping hand to those less fortunate. They are able to do something worthwhile while on transit," said Tuan Syed Ahmad Syed Salim, Head of KLIA Shopping steering committee. He added, "KLIA involves actively in various charity drives. We especially try to bring cheer to children during the holiday and festival seasons."
