KLIA SHOPPING "Festivals of Malaysia" holds Hari Raya fashion showcase
Saturday, 22nd November 2003 -- The KLIA Shopping "Festivals of Malaysia" campaign ushered in the forthcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration at the KL International Airport with a showcase of the latest designs of traditional Malay "Baju Kurung" and "Baju Melayu's" from Batek Malaysia.
The public going through the airport were treated to the latest traditional Malay fashion apparels that were sponsored by Batek Malaysia and presented by some of Malaysia's top models in a very casual manner. All the designs that were showcased are available at all of Batek Malaysia outlets nationwide.
To complement the clothes by Batek Malaysia, the models were adorned with accessories by KLIA's very own fashion accessory retailer "D'Trend" located at Level 3 in KLIA and a "live" Gamelan performance by the Drum Symphony Percussion group.
"Each piece of our design has emphasis on elegance, comfort and perhaps more importantly, it carries within itself the legacy of Malaysia's rich heritage"quoted Encik Mohamad, Operations Manager of Batek Malaysia.
"The Hari Raya Aidilfitri showcase is one of the many exciting events planned for the ongoing shopping campaign themed "Festivals of Malaysia", creating wholesome fun-filled daily activities at the airport for the public and travelers going through the KLIA," said Tuan Syed Ahmad Syed Salim, Head of the Organising Committee of the KLIA Shopping.
"We hope through activities like these we are able to further enhance the shopping experience of each traveler going through KLIA, be it a local traveler or a foreign one in our efforts of making KLIA one of the best airports in Asia Pacific and maybe the world one day," he further added.
The KLIA Shopping "Festivals of Malaysia" campaign Hari Raya Aidilfitri will end on 15th December 2003 and the entire campaign "Festivals of Malaysia" will end on 31st January 2004.
